Scripture

As followers of Jesus, we acknowledge that the Bible must be the foundation for all that we believe and all that we do. It is essential for spiritual nourishment and transformation. Therefore, we commit ourselves to the clear and accurate teaching and preaching of God’s Word so that we will handle it correctly by hearing it, learning it, applying it to our lives, and sharing it with others.

[2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2:15; James 1:22; 1 Peter 2:2]

Worship

As followers of Jesus, we acknowledge that the Triune God is supremely worthy of the authentic worship that He desires. Such worship is not merely something we do, it is who we are. Therefore, we commit ourselves to worshipping the Lord with reverence and joy, while pursuing excellence in all that we do for the glory of God.

[John 4:23-24; Romans 12:1-2; Ephesians 5:19-20;
Psalm 33:8; Colossians 3:17]

Prayer

As followers of Jesus, we acknowledge that, apart from Him, we can do nothing. Through prayer, we demonstrate our dependence on God to act faithfully for our good and His glory. Therefore, we commit ourselves to praying for one another and for the advancement of God’s Kingdom through His Church.

[John 15:5; Romans 8:28; Matthew 7:7-11]

Community

As followers of Jesus, we acknowledge that, although our church is comprised of many individuals, we are united together as one in the Body of Christ. The Holy Spirit has gifted each of us with capacities to hold each other accountable, build each other up, and spur each other on to follow Christ’s example as we seek to advance His Kingdom. Therefore, we commit ourselves to walking with one another in Christian love and service as we share life together.

[1 Corinthians 12; Ephesians 4:12-13, 25-26; Galatians 3:28].

Outreach

As followers of Jesus, we acknowledge that the Gospel concerning His death and resurrection is the only hope for a sinful and fallen humanity. As Christ’s ambassadors, we have been entrusted to employ culturally relevant methods for communicating the timeless message of the Gospel in our community and to faithfully support those who spread the Gospel to all nations. Therefore, we commit ourselves to investing our time, talent, and treasure to share God’s gracious gift of abundant and everlasting life with others by reaching them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and training them to follow after Him.

[Matthew 28:18-20; John 3:16; 10:10; Philippians 4:14-19; 1 Corinthians 9:20-23; 2 Corinthians 5:20]
